Mark Tatull's Lio ran afoul of the law in the June 18 episode of Retail, a comic strip by Norm Feuti that runs in the Seattle Post-Intelligencer. In the Retail strip, employees of the Grumbel's department store catch Tatulli's silent mischief-maker "filling up lead crystal vases with live spiders" and watch as "the little weirdo" is led away by security.
Anyone familiar with Lio knows that one of the Tatulli's running gags is the spoofing of other strips. Characters from several GoComics strips, including Garfield, For Better or For Worse, Calvin and Hobbes, The Boondocks and others have all made cameos in Lio. Here are a couple of examples:
These strips, as well as the two dozen or so other Lio dailies that feature cameos by well-known comic characters, are available to add to your collections on My Comics Page. Become a member today, and start collecting!
There are already too many links in this post, so why not add a couple more? Two good articles about Mark Tatulli and Lio by the Philadelphia Inquirer and the Winston-Salem Journal.

Kindly replace (BLOG ALERT: "Lio Arrested!) on the gocomics flash page. I'm sick of reading it. Sick, sick, sick. Besides, I'm sure that the little thief has repaid his debt to society by now.
