Reuben Bolling's Tom the Dancing Bug has won the Association of Alternative Newsweeklies' 2007 Best Cartoon Award. Bolling had previously won the AAN Best Cartoon Award in 2002 and 2003 and was a finalist for the award in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
What does it all mean?
"This award is objective, verifiable proof that 'Tom the Dancing Bug' is at least 23.1% better than any other comic strip,” said Bolling good-humoredly. “Thank God for awards, or we would never know for sure whether something is better than something else."
