You've seen his cartoons, but for those who never had the honor of meeting editorial cartoonist and Kudzu creator Doug Marlette, who was killed in an auto accident last week, here's a nice article on CNN.com in which several friends of the Pulitzer Prize winner reminisce about the personality, ideals and talents that made him such a unique individual. From the article:
"In Marlette's world, victory was measured not by the points you scored but by the points you made; not by banners raised or books published but by the character revealed during the inevitable struggles along the way."
Doug Marlette was a witty, charming and enormously gifted satirist who will be missed by legions of family, friends and fans.
