Leslie called me about 10 days ago and Lee made me refer her to Doug Edwards at uclick (rrr ... angry), but Lee explained that I wasn't a good candidate to be interviewed because I curse too much and my propensity for saying "knowhatImean" might come off as supercilious.
BTW, I know Stephan Pastis. Amazing guy, but maybe a little bit too handsome for his own good ...knowhatImean?
Editor's note: I have my doubts whether that's a real photo or not. It's widely speculated in the industry that Pastis farms out all his art and writing to Bangladesh. And that sort of facial hair he's wearing hasn't been in vogue for decades.

That article was interesting in that the younger and newer strips Pearls/Argyle seem to see that newspapers are just a part of the puzzle ... while the old guy from Beetle Bailey seemed whetted to the old format.
