As a reader of Maintaining since its inception, I've always been a bit taken back by Anton's mistrust of others -- for someone so young, he certainly is a cynical guy. Today's strip, however, reveals what must have been a crucial incident in shaping the young man's worldview. If we'd only known, Anton. If we'd only known...

 

And in closing, a somewhat shocking scenario in today's "Close to Home." Though I don't doubt the leaf-blower's good intentions, I had to ask myself: "Unable...or just unwilling?"
