I want to thank Garry T. for inspiring me to Twitter. You can find me @JohnnyGlynn (some inglorious jerkface took "JohnGlynn" already). I've been on for about a day and I'm following some people. Foxtrot's Bill Amend and Mark "Heart/Lio" Tatulli among my six I follow.

It's better than I imagined it would be. I still don't know what to do with it, but the excitement is palpable.

Should my first tweet be about the soup I had for lunch or the dream I had last night that I don't remember too much but seemed so real at the time and things were apparently going so well for me that I even said to myself in the dream, "I'm glad this isn't a dream."

I can't make up my mind. How do people make these decisions everyday?

Ladies and gentlemen, meet Ewe-Man!

Teresa Dowlatshahi, creator of Frog Applause and Shoe Cabbage, has long been a skeptic of the livestock-protecting superpower known to midwesterners as "Ewe Man." At least until now. As of today Teresa is not only a confessed believer, she has also produced the very first artist's rendering of Ewe Man. Hooray for Ewe-Man!

In related Newes, those who want to see more Ewe drawings should visit the new GoComics feature Haiku Ewe by Big Al the Gal. Although it is created more in a poetic tradition than an action-adventure vein (each day's text is written in haiku), Haiku Ewe is both contemplative and hewemorous. I think ewe will like it.

Steve Breen wins the Pulitzer Prize! (Again!)

Congratulations to GoComics editorial cartoonist Steve Breen, winner of the 2009 Pulitzer Prize! Breen, who is the staff editorial cartoonist at the San Diego Union-Tribune, was cited for "his agile use of a classic style to produce wide ranging cartoons that engage readers with power, clarity and humor." This is Breen's second Pulitzer - he won for the first time in 1998.
