... what the hell do syndicate editors do all day?
And it's not as easy to answer as you would think. Yes, there's making sure the creators turn in their work on time, ensuring the feature's delivery to clients and checking for grammar, typos, coherence and quality ... but there are also important things. Like ...
Development. Yes, that's right. We develop features. And now I can hear all the naysayers screaming, "You couldn't develop a canker sore!" Well, if anyone remembers that one editor from the Marshall Islands that used to work here we have photographic proof that that statement is patently false.
But let's get back to the point, OK? We thought it might be interesting to show how we work with "in development" creators. Actually show you the roughs, our commentary and then the final version of the comic. Sounds fun, right?
I said, "sounds fun, right?"
So starting next week on GoComics, we'll take a raw, naked and unadulterated look at our newest strip "In the Sticks." Stay tuned for more info.

oh cool! this is a great idea John! Nathan is really funny, I am looking forward to his eventual launch. Hopefully the Seattle Times picks it up.
