John Lustig is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Last Kiss on GoComics with the Last Kiss Comics Writing Contest!
Fans are invited to join forces with none other than Hugo award-winning writer Orson Scott Card to complete a Last Kiss cartoon and win fame and fabulous prizes!
Entering is simple: Click here. Check out Orson Scott Card’s caption for the Last Kiss cartoon, then create some witty dialogue to go along with Card’s caption. Send your entry through the submission tool on LastKissComics.com by February 5th and keep your fingers crossed!
Lustig will pick a top seven from among the entries and the finalists will be announced on February 7. Fans will vote for their favorite, and the winning cartoon, complete with Card’s caption and the winning dialogue, will appear on GoComics.com/LastKiss and on LastKissComics.com on February 15.
That’s the fame – so what about those fabulous prizes?
Prizes: Two runners-up receive a dozen Last Kiss note/greeting cards each, while the winner gets 24 Last Kiss cards, plus a high-quality, color print of the winning comic, autographed by both Card and Lustig!
And this may just be the first of many Last Kiss comics writing contests in 2010, according to Lustig:
“…the idea of giving fans a chance to “collaborate” in contests with favorite writers is already stirring up excitement. And that’s just the reaction from the pros I’ve talked to! I already have commitments from several well-known writers who want to write captions for the contests. In fact, some have already written their Last Kiss gags. So I’m ready to go if this proves to be as popular as I think it will be!”
Once again, the deadline for submissions is 11:59pm CST, February 5th, so get crackin’!
