Some people take a few days off after Christmas, but not GoComics cartoonists. The following strips are the best thing I've seen since I watched "Holiday in Handcuffs" (starring Mario Lopez and Melissa Joan Hart) on ABC Family last Saturday. Check 'em out:
Monday's Overboard. If only it were that easy.
From Non Sequitur. I don't consider myself that much of a misanthrope, but lately I find myself wanting to see this kind of thing happen to all the phone-fixated drivers and pedestrians who cut me off on the streets and sidewalks. Looks like this guy isn't the first to fall into that hole.
Fusco Bros. I'm sure it's easy enough to find if you look hard. Like in a coal mine. You could also just use consumer grade charcoal, but you'd better keep the ready-to-light stuff a safe distance from the Christmas candles on the mantle.
Moderately Confused. "Being smarter than the packaging" can be harder than it sounds.
The "Tebowing" phenomenon has made it from ESPN, Salon and Grantland all the way to Nancy.
As Off The Mark commenter pouncingtiger said, "Now we know who is the father of his old girlfriend’s child."
Frank 'n' Ernest have made outlandish, punny remarks like this their stock in trade, but now that I think about it it's not hard to imagine some chipper bank rep actually saying this to a customer.
Trademark In The Sticks hilarity.
Not sure what the debris cloud consists of or whether it bears any similarity to the 14th-century mystic text "The Cloud of Unknowing," but Frog Applause is channeling something interesting here.
If that snippet from Jim's Journal doesn't sum up the holidays, I don't know what does.
