In my neighborhood the Dutchess County Fair has recently ended and the cows have all gone home, and the kids are back in school, and the rain is coming down on the first orange leaves. And Cul de Sac is nearing the end of its amazing run (most recently loved detail: panel two of yesterday's strip). Which explains the great pleasure it put into my day to discover (thank you, Comics Reporter) that the Washington Post has a chock-full archive of Richard Thompson's wonderful freewheeling pre-Cul de Sac creation Richard's Poor Almanack. Pass it on.

Thanks for the archive info, David.
