How to Recommend a Comic Strip
1. Tell someone to read Basic Instructions, because it is hilarious.
2. Repeat yourself if they didn't hear you.
3. Add jazz hands if your audience remains unconvinced.
...Clearly I don't have Scott Meyer's gifts of knowledge impartment, but really. This strip is fantastic. Scott himself is the strip's main character, appearing alongside comic-ified versions of his wife, friends and co-workers. Each four-panel strip aims to teach the reader a Valuable Life Skill, such as my all-time favorite: How to Fake a Smile. This one is from the strip's pre-syndication days, and makes it easy to see why it was picked up.

See? SEE? Each strip can stand alone, so there's no overall story line to keep up with -- though occasionally Scott will cover the adventures of Rocket Hat and the Emperor of the Moon. Rocket Hat is a man of few words and dazzling headwear.
