Can it really be 20 years? I don't believe it. Reminds me of that song "Don't Stop Not Believing" * which was a big hit for my high school band.
If for some strange reason you define "big hit" as meaning I sang it with my friend Dan Kotowski in his wood paneled basement quite often. And also if by "band" you meant two friends singing into a tape recorder with no actual instruments in terry cloth shirts and corduroys.
Our other hits included: "Really, Really, Love Her, Really, Love Her, She's My Baby," "Oooh Ahhhh, Baby You Give Me the Creeps," and "I Dropped My Popsicle into That Leaf Pile Over There."
Why am I telling you all this? Good question: Not sure, let's try to stay on point.
What I am here to talk about is Baby Blues: one of the best dang comics on the planet. As a parent with young children, I have a lot of "I hear that, Jerry Scott & Rick Kirkman!" moments. This two-volume book is beautiful collection of some of the best Baby Blues comics over the last two decades. I'm giving this a serious thumbs up!
May I make a suggestion? If you happen to know any parents with children, this will make an excellent holiday/year-round/end-of-the-world gift.
And let me say these two words about the cartoonists: high quality. And I'm not just talking from a cartoonist standpoint, but as funny-as-heck in person and as genuinely kind and generous people.
