**March 28, 2013 - Now, we have two new collections from the Frazz and Close To Home comics! See below for links:
In the comics world, we're accustomed to two or more things coming together for the greater good. Calvin wouldn't be the same without Hobbes. Garfield has Odie and John. The Avengers brought together a collective of powers to produce a group greater than the sum of its individual parts. And now ... something new.
We would like to announce that the two companies that comprise Andrews McMeel Universal -- Andrews McMeel Publishing and Universal Uclick/GoComics -- have formed a joint e-publishing initiative called Udig to publish collected series of short, curated, collectible e-books.
Udig combines the best of both companies' worlds. The vast publishing reach established by Andrews McMeel Publishing, with many best-selling humor and non-fiction books, will pair perfectly with Universal Uclick's vast array of comics, humor, political cartoons and thought-provoking columnists seen on GoComics and UExpress.com.
What does this mean to you? Well, you now have another awesome option for buying e-books that you can read in a short stretch on your tablet or mobile device. It also provides more great GoComics/UExpress content in e-book form. All titles are available only for $2.99 where e-books are sold, including on the Kindle, Nook, via the iBookstore, Google and Kobo.

Cool! I hope there's a Diamond Lil and Molly and the Bear e-book available soon!

Why is there no Molly and the Bear book?

Solve existing issues and review the rendering system that needs some love. Probably the best way to go is to plug it into the J Grass rendering mechanism, which has already a complete system to deal with color tables.

Hmm. For $2.99 I can get 12 pages of Luann; for $5.99 I can get 117 pages (https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/the-brad-and-toni-saga-book-one/id515935161?mt=11)
What's wrong with this picture?

DRM-free? I don't buy ebooks encumbered with DR, and I buy many ebooks from smart publishers like Baen, O'Reilly and Macmillan.

"Collectible" e-books?
That's a joke, right?

How about in .PDF format? For those of us old fogies that prefer paper?

Bought the first year of Luann minus Sunday strips at a local thrift for 50 cents. Nothing like a real book.

How about a description of how many pages (or strips, or some kind of metric) you get for your $2.99? All I find is a comment here implying that each "book" is 12pp. Nothing in this announcement or on the individual iTunes pages, and the sample's "6pp" contains no imagery other than the cover pic. I am a great fan of Frazz, but for $3/12pp I am not in yet.
