Today I walked past the Abraham Lincoln statue just a few blocks east of our office to pay tribute to our nation's 16th present. Thought I would take this occasion to post a few Abe-related comics from the past few years, starting with Sunday's Arlo & Janis...

Ignore the fact that Lincoln waged a war on civilians, suspended habeus corpus, blockaded a country, arrested legislators, imprisoned newpaper editors, political enemies, and even a supreme court justice.
I guess they were all "harsh measures" needed for "harsh times." Or possibly the works of a tyrant.
