This week's pick comes from our Editor, Patty Adams: Stone Soup by Jan Eliot is always on my radar. It increases in popularity by the day. I know this because one of my many tasks here is to hook up newspaper clients with access to the features to which they subscribe. Stone Soup gains new newspaper clients every week.
I LOVE this comic strip! And not just because I've lived with adult sisters, have an opinionated mom and kids in my life. It's because Stone Soup is plain funny. It's as simple as that. Nothing is funnier than the day-to-day happenings of a family in today's world surrounded by great friends, seasoned with love and attitude. Stone Soup hits this mark every time. It makes me smile with recognition, and it will make you smile. Stone Soup also frequently makes me wonder, "How can Jan Eliot possibly meet her deadlines when she surely takes the time to stand outside my window, looking in on my life?"
If you're like me, you like to have bound, permanent archives of your favorite comics. Don't miss the beautiful STONE SOUP collections published by Andrews McMeel Publishing and Four Panel Press.
Finally, did you know that Stone Soup is so popular that it cannot be contained to English? You can read LAS HERMANAS STONE in daily and Sunday newspapers throughout Latin America. Muy bueno!
