That "Boys Will be Boys" example strip is hilarious

Inspired again

"Having Zen Pencils appear on GoComics, alongside my all-time favorite strips like Calvin and Hobbes, Dilbert, Peanuts and Garfield, is a dream come true for me."
Brilliant!! Whenever I read your comics on ZenPencils, they always remind me of the quote by William Shedd: 'ships are safe in the harbor BUT that's not what ships are built for' and reading this short bio of Gavin's story, I'm sure many others will be reminded to do what you was born to do - just like Gavin!

Thanks GoComics for this post!

Thanks Gavin for being you and inspiring me :-)

This is just the kind of information that i had been looking for, i'm already your rss reader now and i would regularly watch out for the new posts, once again hats off to you!

In the first comic the baby had teeth...anyone noticed?

Hello Gavin, I am glad things worked out well for you. I'm truly enjoying Zen Pencils. It has quickly become one of my favorite comics.

I am definitely not where I would like to be but I can't imagine how it would be preparing me for me dream job. But if, some how it is, I wish it would hurry up. I'm getting older by the minute and time is running out.

Again, congratulations and keep 'em comin'.

Always fun to see which inspirational words are selected and how they are artistically interpreted. Very stoked to have Zen Pencils on GoComics, and can't wait for the book launch. I know what I'm getting several people for Christmas next year.

Fantastic! I remember Beano and Dandy. I collected those, along with Disney and other comic books, when I grew up (Leonora, Western Australia). We didn't have TV there then (1970s), so the comic books were my main source of entertainment. Wizard of ID and Tumbleweeds were my all-time favorites.

It's interesting how one comes full circle. I started out cartooning as a kid, dropped it for many years and it finally came knocking again, especially when there's no other work!

Zen Pencils is friggin' fantastic. I can't wait until I cover the comic on my show!
