| COMICS SHERPA: EDITOR'S PICKS »
As someone who's glimpsed a few Cintiqs but never really seen one in action, I was intrigued to come upon this video of Garfield creator Jim Davis:
Speaking of Jim Davis, a while back I noticed that he has a lot of fun with the throwaway panels on his Sunday strips: voila, voila, voila, voila, voila, voila, and voila!

I've never seen someone use a Cintiq before, but after watching Jim Davis work on this, I sooooo want one! I do have a Wacom Intuos tablet, but the Cintiq looks like it would be a much better tool. The fact that your artwork appears on the same screen that you draw on makes it seem much more useful than just using a tablet. Amazon has 22" Cintiqs for around $2,000. Maybe I'll buy one when my comic strip becomes as successful as Garfield.
