They splat on your windshield, buzz around your front porch light, annoy you at outdoor events and light up the night sky.
They are the bugs of summer: lightning bugs, June bugs, moths, butterflies, bees, ticks, mosquitoes and so many more.
Most people get squeamish at the sight or thought of any kind of bug. Hey! They can be terrifying! Protect yourself at all costs.
Bugs are also quite distracting — especially if you’re in the feline family.
Why do they look like that? Who needs 32 beady little eyes, anyway? Hairy feelers? Ew! Or eight legs? NO. We’ll stop there.
Even if you don’t mind their presence, some (e.g., ticks and the like) can carry dreadful diseases. We suggest using plenty of insect repellant.
Only a few more months to endure these little suckers.
With that, we say R.I.P. to mosquitoes — the most unwanted creatures of all time.
