Red and Rover by Brian Basset | gocomics.com/redandrover
As a dog lover, it's hard not to pick this Red and Rover strip as my fave tribute to Memorial Day. Also, BIG CONGRATS to the creator, Brian Basset, on his Reuben Award: Best Newspaper Comic Strip!

Pooch Café by Paul Gilligan | gocomics.com/poochcafe
Every time my dog greets another dog, they immediately turn their respective leashes into a double helix as they get busy sniffing each other. Usually, I just drop my leash and let it untangle as nature intended, but if the other guy seems weak enough, I resolve things by claiming his dogs as my own, and walking away with both dogs bound by their omni-leash. It's just simpler than trying to resolve things amicably.

It's blockbuster movie season, and I can't believe none of these were ever really said in a movie. It's okay. Rabbits Against Magic, you had me at hello. You complete me. Show me the money. (NAME THAT MOVIE!)

Basic Instruction by Scott Meyer | gocomics.com/basicinstructions
I married a very smart woman, who uses logic in arguments. I prefer ad hominem attacks as escape routes...
Wife: Why did you leave the garage door open all night?
Me: What do you have against squirrels? What has a squirrel ever done to you?
EXACTLY. I WIN.
